COVID-19 Updates | Current Phase: BBC3
Dear Church Family and Friends:
We pray that you and your family are doing well. In recent weeks there has been a significant decline in the number of COVID-19 cases and COVID related hospitalizations in New York City and its vicinity. The daily infection rate is now well below the 3% mark. Therefore, after careful consideration, the Re-opening Task Force (RTF) of the Bronx Baptist Church has agreed to officially resume in-person Worship Services on Sunday, June 20, 2021. On this day, not only will it be Fathers’ Day, but we are inviting families to attend together as we give God thanks for His preserving grace. In addition, we will have a special ceremony during the worship experience that will sure to bless you.
Please pre-register by calling the Church Office, sending an email to bbcoffice@aol.com, or completing the pre-registration form on our website or included with this mailing. This will let us know that you are attending so we can ensure adequate spacing for a safe and comfortable worship experience. In addition, we have put the following safety measures in place.
-
Upgraded the HVAC system to include a UV light filter that kills all viruses and microorganisms in the air as it circulates through the system.
-
Hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility.
-
Spaced markers for seating in the sanctuary.
-
Upon entry, temperature screening by our Medical Team to ensure all attendees are feeling well.
-
Masks are required for all attendees, whether vaccinated or not vaccinated.
Although we are officially resuming in-person gatherings, our worship services will continue to be streamed to our Facebook page and YouTube channel on Sundays at 11:30am. Please note that small groups, youth and children’s ministries, prayer, Bible Studies, and any other meetings will continue to occur virtually. Funerals, weddings, child dedications, and baptisms will be conducted as separate services. We are excited about once again “entering His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” See you soon.
